Pet Photo Guide
Reference photos
Clear photos help us capture your pet’s features. Upload at least three photos; five useful views are recommended where available. Phone photos are welcome.
1. Face and front
Use soft daylight and focus on the eyes, muzzle and ears. Keep your pet at eye level. Include a face close-up and a full front view.
2. Left and right sides
Show both sides so we can see body shape, tail and markings. Avoid cropping paws or the tip of the tail.
3. Full body and details
Include the whole pet, plus close-ups of distinctive patches, eye colors or special features. A photo of your preferred pose is helpful.
Choose useful references
| Helpful | Harder to use |
|---|---|
| Sharp, original-resolution photos | Blurry screenshots or tiny compressed images |
| Soft natural light and natural colors | Strong color filters, flash glare or deep shadow |
| Unobstructed face, paws and markings | Faces hidden by clothing, furniture or another pet |
| Several views of the same pet | A single distant angle |
