A Chibi corgi portrait built around expression
Maple brings together the features that make a red-and-white corgi instantly recognizable: upright ears, a pale muzzle, short legs and a cheerful open mouth. The Cute Chibi treatment gives the head more prominence and keeps the body compact. The aim is a playful pet portrait that reads clearly on a desk or shelf, with the individual markings carrying as much character as the overall silhouette.
At the Mini size of 8 cm, broad shapes matter more than individual strands of fur. The ears frame the face, the white blaze guides the eye toward the expression, and the rounded chest keeps the design visually balanced. The selected size refers to the sculpture’s longest side, excluding its base and any cover; final proportions and the overall footprint are confirmed in the digital proof.
Resin sculpture, hand-painted coat and display base
The production route for a figurine like Maple combines a custom digital sculpt with high-resolution resin printing and hand painting. Resin allows the compact muzzle, mouth and ear contours to become part of the sculpture. The coat colors are painted onto the prepared surface, so the boundary between red fur and the white blaze can follow your pet’s own markings rather than a generic breed pattern.
The current Mini Chibi configuration includes an oak name base, standard hand painting, a protective coating and protective packaging. A different base, enhanced painting, an acrylic cover or gift packaging can be selected separately in the configurator. The pictured composition is a useful starting point; your selected configuration and approved proof define the piece we make.
How the Chibi design moves from photos to paint
- Reference review. Send a clear face view, a side view and a view showing the back or opposite side. Daylight photographs help distinguish the red coat from warm indoor lighting. Highlight the shape of the blaze, ear positions and the expression you want to preserve.
- Digital sculpt and proof. We establish the larger head, compact body and readable ear shapes before refining the face. This is the stage to discuss the smile, head angle and proportions. Review the silhouette as well as the front view before approving printing.
- Resin printing and preparation. The approved model is printed, then prepared for painting through support removal, surface finishing and priming. Small ear and mouth details need enough substance to work at this scale.
- Hand painting and inspection. Red and white coat areas are laid out first, followed by soft shading, the inner ears and small eye highlights. A protective finish completes the painted surface before inspection and protective packing.
Proof review and delivery planning
For your own Chibi corgi, identify the two or three features that matter most before modeling begins. An uneven blaze or a particular ear angle can be more useful than a long description of every hair. Proof-stage refinements are the opportunity to resolve those choices before the physical sculpture is produced.
The timeline below separates proof preparation, your review, production and shipping, with normal service estimates for a photo-based order. If the figurine is for a birthday, share the date before ordering so we can discuss feasibility. Customer reply time, customs and carrier delays can affect arrival; November and December normally need an extra 3–5 business days.
Displaying and caring for a Mini figurine
Choose a stable indoor shelf away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat. Lift the piece by supporting the body and base, and dust gently with a soft, dry brush. The upright ears are decorative details and should not be used as handles. A display cover can help reduce dust, but is an optional selection. The figurine is a decorative collectible for ages 14+, with small and fragile parts, rather than an item for play.
